Pearson Airport Work Authorization (PAWA)
We have launched a new airport work authorization tool
Effective April 28: Instead of using multiple forms to apply for different airport permits, applicants will now submit a single Work Authorization in PAWA and indicate the type of work being conducted. The Work Authorization number becomes the primary reference for all requests.
PAWA will be used to intake and process all airport work authorization within the following categories:
- Airside Work
- Cranes
- Events
- Film and Photography
- Groundside Work
- Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems
- Security Impacts
- Shutdowns
- Terminal Work
Important: PAWA will NOT process Facility Alteration Permits (FAP). Please follow the current process for FAP.
Do you have a PAWA account?

If no, follow these steps:
- Proceed to PAWA and click on “Don't have access? Request it here”.
- Once your access request has been approved, you will receive an email notification from invites@IMGTAA.onmicrosoft.com.
- Important: Follow the instructions in the PAWA access job aid to finalize your access.
- Once access is finalized, refer to the Resources section below for navigation and guidance.
Construction Compliance and Permits Office (CCPO)
The CCPO is designated as the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for all Construction on Airport Lands. Its mandate is to ensure compliance with applicable codes and contractor safety legislation prior to issuing Facility Alteration Permits (FAPs) and Occupancy/Use Permits.
