The holidays are here, and Toronto Pearson is ready to make your journey as joyful as the destination. From festive passenger experiences to exclusive shopping and dining promotions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. With 12 days of exciting getaways to dream destinations and the convenience of tax-exempt holiday shopping, we’re bringing the spirit of the season to life throughout the airport. Whether you’re traveling near or far, let us help you take off with a little extra cheer this holiday season.

Holiday joy to brighten your journey

Toronto Pearson is transforming into a festive wonderland, bringing joy and cheer to every traveller’s journey. Here’s what you can look forward to as we celebrate the season:

  • Festive tunes with YYZ Live: Enjoy special performances throughout the holidays, filling the terminals with the sounds of the season. Check out the performances on December 18-21, 26 and 27 from 12:30-4:00 pm.
  • Live piano music at YYKeyZ: Enjoy festive holiday melodies played by a talented pianist at Terminal 1, near D20. Stop by on December 16, 20, 21, 23, and 30 between 5:00 and 7:00 pm for a heartwarming musical experience.
  • Family Lounge fun: Kick back with holiday movies, ,  strike a pose with our festive frame décor, and print a keepsake at the Fuji Film photoprinter at our T1 Domestic Family Lounge.
  • Santa hats and sweet treats: Look out for our Welcome Team spreading cheer in Santa hats and handing out candy canes to passengers.
  • Create with VIBE Arts: Get crafty with holiday-themed art activities led by VIBE Arts. Perfect for a creative break during your travels! Check it out on December 17 from 10 am to 3 pm in T3 Departures.
  • Candy Cane Carolers: Strolling carolers will spread seasonal cheer with live music as they roam Terminals 1 and 3. Find them on December 18 from 2:00-6:00 pm.
  • Magic in the air: Ron the Magician will dazzle passengers of all ages with delightful tricks, bringing an extra dose of holiday wonder. Check out the show in T3 on the afternoons of December 21 and 28.
  • Surprise giveaways: We’ll be handing out fun swag during select YYZ Live performances, because who doesn’t love an unexpected holiday treat?
  • Santa Claus: Watch for Santa bringing joy to travellers in Terminals 1 on December 19.
  • Crayons and colouring fun: Our info desks are stocked with colouring books and crayons to entertain our youngest travellers.
  • JOY Sign: Don’t miss our new JOY sign—a festive photo op perfect for capturing your holiday spirit as you exit Domestic Arrivals in T1.

This holiday season, Toronto Pearson makes travel even more festive with exclusive shopping, dining and seasonal treats. Whether you're grabbing a gift, enjoying holiday meals, or soaking in the cheer, it's the perfect way to celebrate while you travel.

Shop, dine and celebrate the season

Shop and dine tax-free for the holidays

This holiday season, take advantage of the GST/HST Holiday Tax Break from December 14, 2024, to February 15, 2025. During this period, many popular items in our terminals will be tax-exempt, making it the perfect time to dine, shop and save.

Key items such as restaurant meals, alcohol, snacks, sweets, children’s clothing, toys, books and more will benefit from this break. Please note that vending machines are excluded from this tax relief program. For a full list of tax-exempt items, please refer to the Government of Canada’s website.
