Ready Set Fly with Pearson

Helping individuals with autism and their families feel more confident and prepared for air travel.

Toronto Pearson, Air Transat and Autism Ontario came together for the fourth annual Ready, Set, Fly with YYZ, an airport familiarization tour designed to help individuals with autism and their families feel more comfortable and prepared for air travel.

Participants had the opportunity to practise key stages of the airport journey, including check-in, security screening and boarding an aircraft, while becoming familiar with the airport environment and interacting with airport staff and partners.

The hands-on experience helped participants build confidence, become more comfortable with the travel process and reduce some of the uncertainty that can come with flying.

Ready, Set, Fly with YYZ is part of Toronto Pearson’s ongoing commitment to creating a more accessible and inclusive airport experience for everyone. Learn more about our accessibility services here.
