Fair and equitable recruitment process
At the GTAA, we believe that diversity is our strength. We are committed to a fair recruitment process that attracts top diverse talent and we aim to support the personal and professional growth of our employees.
To ensure a fair and equitable recruitment process the GTAA has implemented the use of Textio, which ensures the use of inclusive language by eliminating biases in our job posters and to empower our leaders to give fair and actionable feedback by being inclusive in an equitable way.
HireEZ is a number one AI-powered platform designed to not only support with the recruitment of hard-to-fill roles in a short amount of time but also to increase diversity and improve representation in specific roles or industries. HireEZ provides a strategically scalable approach to build the workforce of the future.
Our approach
Learning, Growth, and Development
We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed. We encourage our leaders to adapt inclusive behaviors in their everyday interactions. Since 2022 we have delivered an Inclusive Leadership Training to help our leaders across the GTAA tackle unconscious biases and embrace diversity, equity and inclusion by leveraging diverse thinking to drive innovation.
In 2023, we launched an internal Mentorship Program which promotes a culture of continuous learning and professional development, while facilitating a collaborative learning environment between employees and leadership. In addition to strengthening our internal talent pipeline, this program helps to promote diversity, develop emerging leaders, and build a more inclusive culture.
Our employees want to grow, through succession planning, promotions, training, and full-time opportunities and in 2022, we invested in an equitable learning tool to support development and career progression by giving free access to LinkedIn Learning to all GTAA employees. In less than one year our team members completed over 473 courses and watched over 10,000 videos and as a result of our growing business, we saw over 701 internal movements and over 48 internal promotions in 2022 across our organization.
In 2022 we introduced an Employment Systems Review (ESR) in partnership with a leading DEI focused organization to identify systemic barriers in our business that are impacting our employees. An ESR is an in-depth and independent assessment of all employment systems, policies, and practices – both written and unwritten. This assessment will help us identify any systemic barriers to employment opportunities that may exist and the tools we need to remove these barriers.
