Transport Canada has recently implemented enhanced screening measures for all passengers travelling to India, whether on direct flights or connecting through other airports.

These measures are resulting in longer than normal peak wait times at security checkpoints. To ensure a smooth travel experience, we strongly recommend that passengers watch for communications from their airlines and arrive at the airport earlier than usual to accommodate the additional screening procedures. Travellers to India are also encouraged to consider checking their carry-on luggage to help expedite the process.
